Have 2 felony convictions in Florida for nonviolent offenses in 2002 and 2003. However, have a US 18 USC 922 (g)1 violation conviction in 1991 stemming from a Pennsylvania receiving stolen property conviction in 1985. The usual procedure is to defer to state however my possession of a firearm did not violate state law at that time, so the federal government picked up the charges. Since Florida is the most recent, I figured I'd start there. Hopefully the Bruen ruling will eventually declare 18 USC 922 (g)1 unconstitutional, at least for nonviolent felons and I would then be able to pass a NICS check without having to get a presidential pardon which are rarely granted. The Second Amendment is a second class right at best that follows a set of different rules than the other rights listed in the Bill of Rights. Otherwise, felons or unvirtuous citizens wouldn't be able to speak their mind or be subject to search and seizure at any time.
